Breanne and Joshua Lund Wedding Story

Wedding Date
Saturday, June 24, 2017

We got engaged on August 12, 2015 and decided to plan for a wedding in June 2017. We didn't want to rush the planning and wanted enough time to book everything and everyone we wanted which ended up being a good idea! We booked our location for Medora, ND right away but got some unfortunate news 8 months later that they accidentally double booked us with another event and were no longer able to accommodate for our wedding. We were really upset at first but we still had a whole year to plan for another location so we decided to move it back to our hometown, Williston. We encountered several other bumps and cancellations along the way but we always found something else. In the end, it turned out perfect! Our theme was Bohemian and the colors were navy, blush pink, and gold with pops of burgundy and sage. We had the best day celebrating our love with all our family and friends! I think we were on the dance floor the entire night, it was so fun!

How We Met

We were both born and raised in Williston, ND and saw each other often in school but never talked until High School. We started dating when I was 15 and he was 17. He was my first love and I always knew I wanted to be with him forever! We have been through everything together including the passing of our sweet angel baby, Teagan. No matter what, we always found our way back to each other and know that Teagan is the reason for our strong bond and love! We took pictures at The Garden of Angels and released 100 balloons after the ceremony in memory of her <3

Planning for Our Day

Since I planned our wedding almost two years in advance, I felt like I was ahead of everything and didn't think anything would go wrong but that wasn't the case. Our venue cancelled on us, our cupcake lady cancelled 6 months before the day, our transportation cancelled 1 month before the day, and that is just a few of the things that didn't work out how we planned but in the end we found something better for each thing that went wrong! I definitely recommend confirming with your vendors every few months! Also, try not to stress! No one else will know if something goes wrong. Enjoy yourselves because it goes by way too fast!
